The students will be working in Adobe Illustrator CC. The students will begin Ch. 13 “Working with Symbols, CC Libraries, and Web Content”. In Lesson 26, they will learn to work with existing symbols; create, modify, and redefine a symbol; store and retrieve artwork in the Symbols panel; understand Creative Cloud Libraries; work with Creative Cloud Libraries; understand perspective drawing; use grid presets and adjust the grid; draw and transform content in perspective; edit grid planes and content; create text and bring it into perspective; and make the most of constructive criticism. In Lesson 27, they will learn to align content to the pixel grid; work with the Slice and Slice Selection tools; use the Save For Web command; generate, export, and copy/paste CSS code; and save artwork as SVG.

In Lesson 24, they will learn to use four brush types: calligraphic, art, bristle, and pattern; apply brushes to paths; paint and edit paths with the Paintbrush tool; create an Art brush from a raster image; change brush color and adjust brush settings; create new brushes from Adobe Illustrator artwork; and work with the Blob Brush tool and the Eraser tool. In Lesson 19, they will learn to understand paths and anchor points, draw curved and straight lines with the Pen tool, edit curved and straight lines, add and delete anchor points, convert between smooth points and corner points, create dashed lines and add arrowheads, draw and edit with the Pencil tool, work with the Join tool, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities in graphic design.
